Our Story

Atrens-Counsel Insurance Brokers originally formed in 1979 as an independent brokerage that specialized in insurance solutions for commercial real estate and condominium corporations.  Over the years Atrens-Counsel has grown our client base and grown our team of experienced and dedicated staff in order to deliver a very high level of service.

While we remain one of the largest real estate and condominium insurance brokerage offices in Canada, managing multiple billions of dollars of property insurance, we have also significantly expanded in the markets that we service.  With great offerings for contractors, entertainment, manufacturing and distribution industries, as well as number of exclusive personal insurance offerings, Atrens-Counsel is well suited to handle the evolving insurance needs of its clientele.

More recently Atrens-Counsel has become a part of Arthur J. Gallagher Canada Limited.  AJG is an international insurance brokerage with offices across the globe.  This gives our office unparalleled access to worldwide insurance options for our clients, while still allowing our family-style office to be nimble, constantly evolving, and providing a high level of personal touch to our clients.
